Choosing the right pair of boots before going is essential. This is because you are most likely going to be stuck with the same pair of boots for hours as you go for the task of the day. Or maybe even days. If the boots are not comfy enough, you are just going to torture your feet and toes, and you will return to your bed with sore and swollen feet. How inconvenient. You don’t want that, do you?

Rocky S2V vs C4T

So, now, if you are looking for a decent pair of military boots, you are most likely considering either Rocky S2V or Rocky C4T at the moment. Needless to say, Rocky boots are well-known throughout the world. The company has produced a variety of products with high-quality standards. Both Rocky S2V and Rocky C4T are popular military boot models on the market. However, Rocky S2V is quite more expensive than Rocky C4T. So, what’s the difference between them, really?

Rocky S2V is classified as a tactical military boot, whereas Rocky C4T is a trainer military boot. From this information alone, we can already have the general idea about the differences between Rocky S2V and Rocky C4T. Rocky S2V has certainly been crafted to be much more rugged and durable, as the boot’s purpose is for not only training but also for field duties. On the other hand, Rocky C4T is aimed only for training, which means that the model has been made to be just sufficiently strong. However, it allows Rocky C4T to be very lightweight and comfortable. In fact, Rocky C4T is the lightest military boot ever produced by the manufacturer.

Don’t worry so much about Rocky C4T’s durability because it has been designed to withstand rigorous garrison training nonetheless. Featuring an EVA/rubber outsole, it is resistant to slipping, oils, chemicals, abrasions, heat, and metal chips. The body is water-resistant and fast-drying. It is further equipped with high-quality speed eyelets, NATO hooks, and 550 cord laces. Without any metal part, Rocky C4T is ultimately lightweight and comfortable.

On the other hand, Rocky S2V is quite heavier, but it is also much more feature-packed. As a combat boot, it is flash-resistant, water-resistant, and fast-drying. The 1000-denier Cordura nylon body is PTFE-coated to be flame-resistant as well. The drainage vents besides working for quickly drying the inside when wet, also provides air circulation to keep your feet comfortable and fresh. There is the Aegis microbe shield on the footbed, helping in fighting odor and bacteria, and there is also a fiberglass shank supporting the arch of your foot. Finally, the Vibram sole features proprietary high walls and a polyurethane midsole for maximum protection against anything on the terrain. Rocky S2V feels very solid and reliable. It also fits perfectly.
